Chinese Herbal Medicine is based on the same healing system of observation and assessment, using the laws of nature and understanding of the organ systems and meridians to diagnose imbalance and disease. It differs in that it treats this imbalance using natural herbs and substances taken orally rather than using acupuncture and moxabustion for treatment. Often both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine are used together to help a person heal more quickly.
