Bodyography Massage Therapy

From high school legislative intern and human resource professional to my current occupation of esthetician, massage and spa therapist, as long as I can remember I have enjoyed people-oriented activities and helping others.  Although I have liked these former experiences, I can truly say that my current occupation of over 18 years is definitely the most satisfying and rewarding.  For me, nothing beats being able to have a direct positive impact on a person's well-being and feeling about one's self, whether it involves their appearance, mental, emotional or spiritual state.  While in this rewarding occupation, I have successfully utilized my skills in paramedical, acnaic and age management skin care as well as my bodywork skills in polarity therapy, therapeutic massage, reflexology and auric healing.  In professional positions such as Head Esthetician and Spa Coordinator, I have assisted spa business owners in the creation and implementation of esthetic and spa treatments, the writing of spa menus and the training and hiring of spa employees.

Additionally, I have worked in a variety of professional environments from Newbury Street in Boston, Massachusetts to Top Notch Resort and Spa in Stowe, Vermont.  I have participated as a bodywork practitioner and assistant in such events as the New England Whole Health Exposition, The Barre Home Show of Barre, Vermont, and the U.S.A. Olympic Trials while in Boston, MA.  As a massage therapist, I have also helped to prepare and repair runners for the Boston Marathon and worked with my running club as a crowd assistant in several Boston Marathons.  I have always felt that it is very important to educate and bring healing therapies to the general public.

Education includes:  Boston University, BS/BA, Boston, MA; Vermont College of Cosmetology, Aesthetics Program, Burlington, VT; Certified Study in Oriental Medicine, Swedish, Shiatsu and Sports Massage from several former New England massage schools and instructors Robert Abbatiello, LMT, Licensed Acupuncturist formerly of Boston, MA, and Laura Eliseo, LMT, Licensed Esthetician, Santa Barbara, CA; Polarity Therapy and Counseling Skills Study for Bodyworkers with Marjorie Bernstein, BS, MS, CPT, Newton, MA; Aromatherapy Study with Elizabeth Kohns, apprentice of Judith Jackson, Aromatherapist, Woodstock, CT.  Specialized training in Esthetics includes:  Several certified trainings with OBAGI Rx of Long Beach, CA and Epicuren of Mission Viejo, CA; trainings and continuing education with Glymed of Spanish Fork, UT and Face Forward of Peabody, MA; Laser and Ultrasonic Skin Care Technology with medical Laser Technologies of Salem, NH.  Auric/Spiritual Healing study includes:  over 20 years of continuing study of meditation and spiritual healing disciplines.
